The Assistant Manager for Operations and Maintenance supports the leadership, supervision, and daily operational oversight of the Facilities Services Operations and Maintenance (O&M) organization. The position assists in managing maintenance and operational activities supporting Laboratory facilities, infrastructure reliability, and operational readiness. Responsibilities include supporting oversight of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, custodial, grounds, and construction services to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective stewardship of Laboratory physical assets. The Assistant Manager collaborates with internal departments, government stakeholders, and contracted service providers to maintain facility performance while minimizing impacts to research operations. The role provides operational leadership to first-line supervisors and union trades personnel supporting 24-hour, year-round facility operations. Key Responsabilities
