In the role of Area Airfield Design Business Class Leader, we'll count on you to:

Take responsibility for area-wide development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of airfield business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers Collaborate on business class efforts with area and company operations, marketing and management Develop and lead business class practice and professional discipline groups, and project teams Participate in and contribute to annual business plan development. Partner with market Sector and Business Group leadership in managing business plan goals throughout the year Internally and externally recruit, develop and retain aviation staff in accordance with Market Sector needs and strategy Take responsibility for area-wide development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of Aviation business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers Oversee delivery of project services and deliverables to meet client expectations, workload leveling needs and best-practice application Responsible for overseeing design deliverables with technical accuracy and quality control Serve as an ambassador for our internal quality program for airfield design business class services, and oversee QA/QC procedures Oversee project teams to successfully deliver on a variety of projects Oversee the writing of technical reports, presentations, and other materials
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license Proficient in aviation planning and design principles Demonstrated history in successfully leading teams on complex airport / airfield projects Experience with FAA and US DoD Aviation design criteria Experience with large, multi-disciplined programs at hub airports Geographic diversity of experience throughout the US Knowledge of aviation market in Florida including client relationships and past project experience Possesses excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as leadership, planning and mentoring skills Master's degree PMP certification Preference given to local candidates An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
- 10 years of experience
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
- Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
- Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
