TITLE: Global Marketing Category Intern

LOCATION: Onsite OR Hybrid in Lombard, IL if hybrid: on average 1 day/wk

COMP RANGE: $ 20/hr

Griffith Foods is hiring a Global Marketing Category Intern to support the development of a global portfolio architecture within our Seasonings category. This role will focus on bringing clarity and structure to a complex global product portfolio by analyzing existing internal and external solutions, identifying patterns, and supporting the organization of products under a unified Innovation platform.

As a Global Marketing Category Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Build a global inventory of existing Griffith Foods products aligned to the Innovation platform, consolidating inputs from multiple regions into a structured database.

  • Analyze the portfolio to identify similarities, differences, and inconsistencies in product positioning and naming across markets.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including R&D, to understand product and technology differences and inform portfolio grouping.

  • Conduct external benchmarking to understand how leading companies structure and name product solutions within Innovation platforms.

  • Support the development of a draft portfolio architecture, organizing products into clear, logical groupings under the new platform.

  • Support the development of a marketing toolkit for the first global portfolio launched under the Innovation platform.

The Global Marketing Category Intern position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Have strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to structure and synthesize complex information.

  • Have high attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets (e.g., Excel).

  • Present strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Are comfortable working in a cross-functional and global environment.

  • Are proactive, curious, and eager to learn, with a structured and problem-solving mindset.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Education:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Willingness to work onsite in Lombard, IL 1 day per week

What will set you apart:

  • Previous internship, campus leadership, or project experience in marketing, consumer insights, brand, or commercial roles

There is potential for a discretionary bonus, with a target of X%. This bonus is based on personal & company performance and is not a guaranteed bonus plan.

FOR HYBRID ROLES: Griffith Foods embraces WorkFlex, allowing employees to work from home most of the time, and select options like compressed work weeks, flex time, etc. that creates an effective workplace where work patterns meet the needs of both employers & employees. Most professionals come into the office once a week. Periodic onsite meetings may occur at our Lombard or Alsip (IL) locations.

In Office ROLES This role is affiliated to the Lombard, IL location, and candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance that location and will be required to come into that location. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.
