Position Summary The Defense Systems Division is part of the Parker Aerospace Group, located in Irvine, California. Our products are used across military and commercial platforms globally. POSITION SUMMARY The Electrical Engineer III will carry out engineering assignments related to the planning, design, and testing of electronics hardware in various systems and applications. Supports higher level engineers and often leads projects and tasks as necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Designs electronic circuits, systems, and processes.
- Performs analyses, simulations, and calculations to ensure the suitability of design.
- Supports testing for engineering qualification and production support. May include design and development of test fixtures and automation.
- Participates in design reviews. Systems may involve one or more of the following:
- Analog Circuits
- Digital Circuits
- RF Circuits
- FPGA/HDL
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
- Algorithm Development (pattern recognition, object tracking, control systems)
- LabView Automation
- Troubleshoots and analyzes failures to identify root cause and corrective actions.
- Writes plans, procedures, and reports as required.
- Presents data to other engineers, other departments, and customers as required.
- Works independently and also cooperatively with interdepartmental teams.
- May occasionally travel for field support or conduct offsite testing.
- Often delegates tasks and gives guidance to other engineers, technicians, designers, and drafters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Master's degree in electrical engineering is considered a plus.
- 5+ years related experience with electronic systems and circuit design, analysis, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of design of motor drive and control is desirable.
- Schematic capture is required. Experience in OrCAD is preferred.
- Knowledge in guiding PCB layout and familiarity with construction and assembly techniques of circuit cards.
- Knowledge of drawing and drafting standards.
- Experience with the use of standard test equipment such as oscilloscope, DMM, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Experience and training in the Military/Aerospace Industry is desirable.
- Understanding of military specifications, IPC standards, and other industry standards and best practices is a plus.
- Strong oral/written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Project leadership experience and knowledge of project engineering methods is a plus.
- Eligibility to obtain a DoD Security Clearance is a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen.

- Pay Range: $100300 to $166900 annually
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
