Position Summary

The Defense Systems Division is part of the Parker Aerospace Group, located in Irvine, California. Our products are used across military and commercial platforms globally. We specialize in cutting edge thermal management systems and components including fans, pumps and compressors, ammunition handling systems, weapon scoring systems, dynamic pressure sensors, piezoelectric accelerometers, towed targets, reeling machines, and associated telemetry.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrical Engineer I will carry out engineering assignments related to the planning, design, and testing of electronics hardware in various systems and applications. Supports higher level engineers and may lead smaller projects and tasks as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Designs electronic circuits, systems, and processes.
  • Performs analyses, simulations, and calculations to ensure the suitability of design.
  • Supports testing for engineering qualification and production support. May include design and development of test fixtures and automation.
  • Participates in design reviews. Systems may involve one or more of the following:
    • Analog Circuits
    • Digital Circuits
    • RF Circuits
    • FPGA/HDL
    • LabView Automation
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes failures to identify root cause and corrective actions.
  • Writes plans, procedures, and reports as required.
  • Presents data to other engineers, other departments, and customers as required.
  • Works independently and also cooperatively with interdepartmental teams.
  • May occasionally travel for field support or conduct offsite testing.
  • May give guidance to technicians, designers, and drafters.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Master's degree in electrical engineering is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of electronic systems and circuit design, analysis, integration, testing, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with electronics hardware is a plus.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture. Experience in OrCAD is preferred.
  • Experience in PCB layout and knowledge of drawing and drafting standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with standard test equipment such as oscilloscope, DMM, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
  • Exposure to military specifications, IPC standards, and other industry standards and best practices is a plus.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $69500 to $115000 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
