Position Overview

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of California, Irvine invites highly motivated applicants for a postdoctoral scholar position in the Ardona lab. This scholar will develop and investigate energy-transporting biomolecular assemblies within cellular or physiologically relevant environments.

Salary range: $69,073-74,281-- [Level 0-2]

Position Description

The position is suited for candidates interested in working at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, and biophysics. The ideal applicant should have experience in the following areas:

• organic material synthesis and characterization
• nanostructure elucidation
• bioelectronic devices
• cell culture techniques

Good organization, communication, and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting are essential. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, biomedical engineering, chemistry, or other relevant field.
