Overview

The Bistro Attendant is responsible for delivering excellent food and beverage service to guests in The Bistro while creating a welcoming, efficient, and upbeat environment. This role supports breakfast, dinner, and evening bar service by preparing menu items, serving guests, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding Courtyard by Marriott brand standards.


Responsibilities

    Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, courteous service
  • Prepare and serve breakfast, dinner, and bar menu items according to brand standards
  • Operate POS system accurately, process payments, and handle cash responsibly
  • Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and beverages including beer and wine (where applicable)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of Bistro, kitchen, and dining areas
  • Set up and break down Bistro service areas for each shift
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation
  • Restock food, beverages, and supplies as needed
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally
  • Work collaboratively with hotel staff to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Comply with all Marriott brand standards, policies, and procedures


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food and beverage or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Food handler and alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain)
