THE POSITION

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Real Estate Specialist to join us in the Civil Engineering Office at Horsham Airbase. In this role, you will manage real estate activities for the Air National Guard and aid the Assistant United States Property and Fiscal Officer. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will develop and manage real estate activities for Biddle Air National Guard Base, as well as serve as the technical consultant to the Assistant United States Property and Fiscal Officer (Base Civil Engineer). Your work will involve providing real property reports and recommendations, developing and maintaining legal instruments to grant or acquire interest in real property, and ensuring all reports are audit ready. You will develop and recommend program submittals for the acquisition of property and work together with a variety of other staff to amend leases or other documents. Some of your duties will include researching and interpreting legal documents, identifying and recording all new and existing plant and facilities systems, and using databases to track projects. Additionally, you will represent the Base Civil Engineer in all areas involving real estate matters by recording monthly meetings and traveling to Joint Facilities meetings involving real property matters.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per 2 week pay period. Telework will be available after training and obtaining the necessary credentials to telework. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Horsham. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Real Estate Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of technical real estate experience and an associate degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • All positions require the possession of an active Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to pass a favorable NCIC screening and possess one of the following for admittance to Horsham Airbase: valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license; other REAL ID-compliant identification cards; alternative acceptable document such as a passport; or military/CAC/retirees' ID card.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
