DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will deliver extensive IT support to employees in the Departments of Human Services, Health, Drug and Alcohol Programs, and Aging. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting technical problems, installing and setting up hardware and software, supporting various operating systems and enterprise applications, and ensuring secure and reliable access to Commonwealth networks. Additionally, you will manage user accounts, oversee device security, assist with mobile and desktop technologies, and provide support for telephony systems, printers, and network equipment. Beyond daily technical assistance, you will analyze incident trends, test new devices and applications, create documentation, and offer user training. You will also ensure compliance with Commonwealth IT policies, suggest enhancements to services and security practices, and identify equipment that requires repair or replacement. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Loysville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $59,345 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
- One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
