DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a County Fiscal Officer 1, you will be responsible for the fiscal maintenance and reconciliation of housing related grants, including preparation and submission of invoices, fiscal status reports, and various other fiscal documentation as required. Grants may include the Emergency Solutions Grant, Continuum of Care, Home4Good, Homeless Assistance Program, Phare, SOR, and more. You will be tasked with ensuring accurate calculations are conducted for each applicable grant and ensuring proper entries are completed for agency ledgers. Your work will also involve the preparation of daily entries, reconciliations, and supporting reports for all accounts receivable and revenue transactions. Work must be effectively organized and maintained in order to meet various reporting deadlines. The ability to effectively collaborate with others is essential, as you will be regularly working with the fiscal team, the Housing Department Coordinator, and other administrative professionals. In addition to these duties, you will also be responsible for providing guidance and supervision to one Fiscal Technician. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Some irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required.
- This position may require overnight travel or out of county travel for meetings or training.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or
- Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or
- Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
