As part of our team, you will help maintain and monitor the appearance, repair, and general care of the Capitol Complex grounds and outlying facilities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 1 you will perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and grounds duties, repair work, and other related duties as needed. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Operating variety of hand, mechanized, motorized grounds keeping equipment and tools, from clippers and trimmers to tractors and chainsaws, and responsibility for equipment and tool care and general repairs.
- Participating in the maintenance of lawns, gardens, and trees, in addition to snow and ice removal and preparation activities.
- Driving light vehicles around the Complex to load, unload, and move supplies, including heavy items, to help complete work and projects.
- Performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on all grounds keeping vehicles and equipment.
- Monitoring the exterior of Capitol Complex and related outlying buildings and remove trash and debris to maintain the overall appearance, as well as assisting with setup and cleanup for special programs scheduled outdoors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Essential Employee - you must report to work during office closings
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirement:
