Global Telecom Inventory Analyst, Energy

Tesla's rapid growth in Energy projects demands a proactive Global Telecom Inventory Analyst to join our IT team. We are seeking a candidate who excels in project management, strategic coordination, and tactical execution. As a key member of the Global Telco Team, you will lead the telecom installation processes for all Tesla Energy projects worldwide, ensuring seamless connectivity through coordination with general contractors, ISPs, and other stakeholders.

• Lead end-to-end project management of telecom installations for Tesla Energy projects, including fulfillment, access, contracting, installations & inventory
• Coordinate closely with general contractors (GCs) to integrate telecom requirements into construction schedules, ensuring minimal disruptions and on-time delivery
• Engage with ISPs, carriers, and telecom vendors to secure services, negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and optimize connectivity solutions (e.g., Starlink, fiber, wireline) tailored to Energy project needs
• Develop and maintain project timelines, risk registers, and dashboards to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and report status to stakeholders
• Collaborate with Tesla Energy teams, network engineers, and operations to define telecom requirements based on site specifications, power demands, and scalability needs
• Conduct pre-installation planning, including feasibility assessments, RFP processes for ISPs, and coordination of fieldwork across multiple sites globally
• Oversee installation quality assurance, testing, handover, and documentation, addressing any discrepancies or performance issues promptly
• Forecast telecom needs for upcoming Energy projects, optimize resource allocation, and implement process improvements for scalability
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, change management, and post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and enhance future deployments
• Monitor service performance post-installation, coordinate upgrades or expansions, and ensure cost allocation to appropriate project budgets

• 5+ years of experience in project management for telecom installations, preferably in energy, construction, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Proven track record coordinating with general contractors, ISPs, carriers, and vendors in global environments, with deep knowledge of region-specific telecom regulations and processes
• Expertise in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira), spreadsheets, procurement systems, and telecom technologies (Starlink, fiber optics, LTE/5G)
• Strong understanding of enterprise financials, including budgeting, POs, invoices, cost tracking, and savings initiatives
• Excellent attention to detail, process discipline, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure setting
• Demonstrated ability to critically analyze processes, drive improvements, and implement automation or digital tools for efficiency
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently toward strategic goals without constant oversight
• Professional communication skills; fluent in English (spoken, read, written); experience in multicultural teams a plus
