The Maintenance & Calibration Planneris responsible forcoordinating and administratively supporting thefacility-wide calibration programwhile also planning and trackingpreventive maintenance activities for production equipment. This role ensures calibration andmaintenancework is properly scheduled, documented, reviewed, and closed in compliance with company procedures and applicable quality standards. The position also supports quality systems throughassistancewith deviations, CAPAs, and SOP updates related to equipment and calibration activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate thefacility-wide calibration scheduleand production preventative maintenance scheduleto ensure all instruments are calibrated within required intervals.
  • Maintain and managecalibrationand maintenancerecords and documentationwithin the CMMS or calibration management system.
  • Review and approve completed calibrationandmaintenancework orders and recordsfor accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Track and follow up onopen calibrationand maintenancework ordersto ensuretimelycompletion and closure.
  • Coordinate withinternal technicians and third-party calibration vendorsto schedule calibrationand maintenanceactivities.
  • Ensure calibration documentationmaintainstraceability to recognized standards such as National Institute of Standards and Technology where applicable.
  • Assistwithinvestigations and documentation for out-of-tolerance calibration findings, including deviation support.
  • SupportCAPA implementation and trackingrelated to calibration or equipment issues.
  • Assistwithcreation and revision of SOPs and work instructionsrelated to calibration and maintenance processes.
  • Supportinternal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspectionsrelated to calibration and maintenance programs.
  • Plan and trackpreventive maintenance activities for production equipment.
  • Maintain and managemaintenancework orderswithin the CMMS.
  • Prepare andkit parts and materials required for preventive maintenance activities.
  • Provideadministrative coordination and documentation supportfor maintenance and calibration programs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experiencesupporting calibration programs, maintenance planning, or equipment management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working withCMMS or calibration management systems.
  • Ability toreview and approve calibration records and work orders.
  • Familiarity withdeviation investigations and CAPA processes.
  • Experience supportingSOP development and controlled documentation updates.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate acrossmaintenance, engineering, quality, and production teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supportingcalibration programs in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of calibration standards such as **ISO 17025or **ISO 9001.
  • Experience coordinatingexternal calibration vendors and service providers.
  • Familiarity withinstrument management, metrology, or measurement systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking/standing: Regularly moving around the facility (production floor, labs, equipment areas)
  • Sitting: Extended periods for documentation, CMMS work, and scheduling
  • Switching between desk and floor: This is a hybrid role (office + plant environment)
  • Lifting/carrying: Usually light to moderate (10lbs)
  • Occasional bending, reaching, or crouching
  • Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required

Role will be in Parsippany, NJ.

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $72,000 to $96,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees, a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees to accrue up to 120 hours in the first four (4) years of employment, and 160 hours in the fifth (5th) year of employment as well as 15 paid holidays per year.
