Description JOB SUMMARY: We need someone who is skilled in Agile delivery leveraging Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile practices. Scrum Masters in our organization are servant leaders who can effectively collaborate, facilitate, and influence in a matrixed team environment. Since this team is hybrid will also need to be able to function in tradition PM background and manage projects accordingly. A successful Scrum Master must adeptly navigate complex organizations and be flexible in working with teams that have various levels of Agile maturity. The Scrum Master will work with an Agile Coach and the Agile Delivery Enablement Lead to provide direction towards maturing and optimizing Agile execution within teams. This role will interact closely with Technology and Business stakeholders to educate and ensure business outcomes are achieved. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with Product Owner to provide work direction to one or more Agile teams, including backlog management and grooming Teach the Scrum framework to Technology and Business teams and tailor to the organization as needed Organize and facilitate sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Scrum-related meetings Track and communicate sprint/release progress via information radiators and team metrics Remove and/or escalate team roadblocks Coordinate release schedules, which may involve dependencies across other Agile and Waterfall teams Guide Agile teams to leverage an Agile mindset and fine tune frameworks to increase maturity level Foster a culture of continuous improvement within teams REQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in related field 7+ years of overall experience in technology delivery 5+ years in a Scrum Master role, managing multiple teams Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.) Superior communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Agile mindset with expert knowledge of Agile practices (Scrum ceremonies, information radiators, continuous improvement techniques, Kanban, XP, etc.) Knowledge of Scrum success patterns, common challenges, and techniques to course correct when issues arise Flexibility to work with Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts, team sizes, organizations, cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc. Experience with Software Development Life Cycle and Release Management Demonstrated understanding of Project Management concepts, including the ability to manage budgets, create resource plans and forecasts, prepare schedules, identify risks, and prepare mitigation plans Experience working on mixed methodology program (Scrum interfacing with Waterfall from a dependency perspective) Experience influencing and managing project teams without formal direct reporting relationships Experience building relationships with senior leaders, team members, and customers to execute on a common vision and strategy Ability to be a champion for continuous improvement within Technology and Business teams Experience with managing backlogs and sprints via an Agile Lifecycle Management tool (JIRA, VersionOne, Rally, etc.) High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, and SharePoint PREFERED SKILLS: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience in scaled Agile programs (SAFe, etc.) Working knowledge of technical engineering best practices (Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, DevOps, etc.) Working knowledge of best practices in Organization Change Management Previous experience in Utility industry Skills* Agile Transformation, Bachelor's Degree, Scrum Master, project management, program management Top Skills Details Agile Transformation, Bachelor's Degree, Scrum Master Additional Skills & Qualifications This person will provide guidance, coaching and direction towards maturing Agile execution methodologies.
