This position is responsible for enabling one or more cross-functional teams with Infrastructure and Operations to deliver high-quality outcomes predictably and at a sustainable pace. Facilitates Scrum ceremonies, coaches team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile principles and practices, and drives continuous improvement through transparency, metrics, and removal of impediments. Partners with leadership to support PI Planning and execution, manage dependencies and risks, and improve flow from intake through delivery to maximize value for customers and the business.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future, including OPT and STEM OPT.

Position Compensation Range:

$99,000.00 - $167,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Facilitates agile scrum ceremonies including but not limited to, Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Team Retrospective, Sprint Review and Backlog Refinement.

  • Prepares team for PI Planning, assisting with team breakout sessions promoting alignment with broader Agile Release Train (ART) goals.

  • Coaches team to higher level of maturity with predictable delivery at a sustainable pace.

  • Facilitates team collaboration, decision making and conflict resolution.

  • Serves as a servant leader, enabling teams to be self-organized, cross-functional, and effective in an Agile environment.

  • Helps the team remove impediments and bottlenecks that interrupt the flow of services.

  • Partners with Product Owners and Leaders on roadmap, providing techniques to effectively build and manage product backlog and to develop a release strategy that maximizes the value being delivered.

  • Tracks and report on team metrics (e.g., velocity, sprint burndown, predictability) to drive continuous improvement and transparency.

  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and learning from outcomes.

  • Serves the organization by increasing awareness and adoption of agile principles and values.

  • Helps teams and leaders adopt agile behaviors and challenge anti-patterns.

  • Ensures Jira accurately reflects the work and coach team on effective backlog refinement practices.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Must have experience with collaboration tools, such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of IT product delivery, including experience in a Scrum Master role or related experience.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum and Kanban, principles and values.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of technology practices related to software development lifecycle and Infrastructure.

  • Solid understanding of Scrum Master responsibilities within SAFe (team-level) and how to partner with RTE andPO.

  • Strong interpersonal and servant leadership skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong facilitation and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to remove impediments, resolve conflict, and motivate team members.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI.
Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Madison, HQ office location. If Candidates re outside the Hybrid location, Candidates will be required to relocate.
