Job Summary

The Student Services Analyst position will work as part of a collaborative team and report directly to the Student Services Director. This position will play a crucial role in overseeing, developing process improvements, and workflow enhancements to optimize the transcript evaluation process. Coordinating communication between internal departments and district offices in the transcript evaluation process and procedures. Acting as lead for and supervising part-time enrollment services staff. In addition, this position supports Admissions, Registration, and Records in the areas of admissions, registration, residency, records, enrollment issues, call center support (chats). Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in writing.

Essential Functions

60% Supervises Student Services Specialist (1) and other part-time members of the Admissions & Records team on the transcript evaluation process.Oversees evaluation of high school, college/university (upper and lower division), military, prior learning, accredited and non-accredited institutions, and other academic credentials as required. In addition, serves as lead for the Bachelors in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning liaison working with Academic Division and advisement (in collaboration with the Student Services Director and Student Services Manager).

10% - Data collection/report tracking for all transcript evaluation life cycle

10% - Serves as the lead additional support to Admissions and Records as needed (admissions, registration, residency, records, enrollment issues, and call center support (chats).

10% - Campus and District-wide committees, work-teams, and task forces as assigned.

10% - Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Desired Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or higher degree

2.One (1) year demonstrated leadership experience coordinating and/or leading project management and/or workflow

3. Two (2) or more years college transcript evaluation experience

4. One (1) or more years' experience compiling data and providing reports

5. One (1) or more years' experience working with Peoplesoft (Student Information System), Dynamic Forms, Google forms/Google Suite, phone system, etc.

6. One (1) or more years of experience working with state or federal regulations as it relates to student services in a higher education setting

7. Two (2) or more years' experience working in a wraparound Enrollment Services and/or Admissions & Records Office

8. One year of full-time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two years

**** Experience within other community college systems or higher education institutions is valued and may be considered in addition to MCCCD experience. External candidates are encouraged to apply.

3. May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs
