Responsibilities

Senior Finance Analyst

Onsite: Dayton, OH Manufacturing Site

As a key contributor to the Plant Leadership team, the Senior Finance Analyst supports the financial activities of the plant by delivering high-quality analysis, driving process improvements, and ensuring adherence to corporate financial policies. This role partners closely with the Site Director, Supply Chain Finance leadership, HQ Finance/Accounting, Operations, and Continuous Improvement teams to provide timely insights that enable sound decision-making across plant operations, spend management, forecasting, inventory control, and productivity improvement initiatives. The Senior Finance Analyst reports to the Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Finance.

Your seat at the table
  • Supports plant financial reporting, spend management, annual budgeting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and productivity forecasting through accurate analysis and clear insights.

  • Partners with plant leadership to promote strong fiscal discipline, ensuring integrity in accounting practices, financial reporting, and financially informed decision-making.

  • Provides financial impact analysis and recommendations to support cost savings initiatives, loss avoidance, and risk mitigation efforts.

  • Supports capital and non-capital projects by validating cost assumptions, tracking productivity savings, and highlighting risks and opportunities.

  • Contributes analytical insights and ideas to support both short-term operational objectives and longer-term strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborates with Commercial Finance on new product costing models and monitors the financial and productivity impact of new product startups at the plant.

  • Works cross-functionally and influences stakeholders across levels by translating financial data into actionable insights that improve business understanding and decision-making.

  • Demonstrates a forward-thinking, curious, and adaptable mindset, with the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Identifies issues, analyzes root causes, researches best practices, and proposes data-driven solutions to continuously improve financial processes and productivity outcomes.

  • Maintains an active on-site presence, including time on the production floor, to better understand operations, reinforce safety priorities, and identify opportunities for productivity improvement.

  • Communicates financial information clearly and effectively, tailoring insights to different audiences across the organization.

  • Synthesizes large and complex data sets into concise, actionable insights that drive informed decisions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Major preferred.

  • 3-6 years of relevant finance experience. Work experience in cost accounting, analytics and/or strategic business consulting is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment with internal deadlines.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment.

  • Flexibility to coordinate special projects, anticipate issues and take initiative to resolve them.

  • Advanced Excel capabilities and proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.

  • Flexible work schedule to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
