POSITION OVERVIEW:

Receiving Inspection plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet all regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. This position is responsible for inspection activities, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with internal requirements, customer requirements, and industry standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Inspection of electronic/electromechanical components, mechanical parts, printed wiring boards, etc. for conformance to engineering drawings, work instructions, customer and vendor specifications, and industry

standards.

* Verify conformance and write nonconformance reports when discrepancies are found.

* Verify supplier documentation is accurate, including First Article Inspection reports.

* Conduct transactions in ERP system, move product to stock and/or MRB as required.

* Complete First Article Inspections per AS9102 on supplied material.

* Maintain appropriate records of supplier documentation and inspections

* Interface with Supplier Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and Materials on product status and supplier performance.

* Assist management with implementing process controls, improvement activities, creating work instructions and inspection plans.

* Maintain and update inspection plans.

* Responsible for process audits.

* Assist in investigating complaints of nonconforming product in inventory

* Train and mentor inspectors, providing guidance on best practices and inspection techniques.

* Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.

* Programs and performs inspections using a CMM.

* Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:

* US Citizen or Permanent Resident - Green Card Holder

* High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or technical certification preferred).

* 10+ years of experience in quality inspection within the aerospace or defense industry.

* 10+ years of experience in manual mechanical inspection

* 5+ years of experience in the operation of CMMs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Expert skills in mechanical inspection, including the use of hand tools and related equipment.

* Strong experience with inspection of finished metal parts (plating, coatings, paint, etc.)

* Ability to operate a CMM, with preference to ability to program a CMM.

* Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical manufacturing practices.

* Proficient ability to utilize a PC and the Microsoft Office Suite software package.

* Thorough understanding of AS9102 First Article requirements

* Ability to read and interpret prints and datasheets, including GD&T.

* Able to manage time and priorities effectively.

* Must be able to use microscope.

* Previous optical inspection equipment experience preferred.

* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.

* Effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present to a group.

* Basic understanding of IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001 and other industry standards.

* Bilingual - Spanish and English is a plus.

* Working knowledge of Quality systems, procedures, specifications and organization including knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards, Lean Principles, Quality Tools.

* Ability to walk/roll between buildings (1 city block each way) multiple times a day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $55,000.00 - $68,640.00per hour

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
