ABOUT THE ROLE The Lead Quality Control Technician is responsible for setting the standard and leading the Quality team in inspecting and testing our products to ensure conformance with PCI standards and design specifications that are detailed on the pour sheet. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Review and interpret project plans and specifications to understand requirements.
- Perform pre- and post-pour inspections, including dimensions, reinforcement placement, and overall product quality.
- Conduct material testing (wet and hardened), including slump, temperature, air content, unit weight, and cylinder strength.
- Prepare and test concrete specimens; perform cylinder breaks and analyze results for compliance.
- Perform aggregate gradations and sieve analysis.
- Support and monitor tensioning operations, recording elongations and verifying accuracy.
- Maintain accurate Quality Control documentation and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
- Identify, document, and help resolve quality issues in collaboration with Production.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and validation of testing equipment.
- Lead or support team coordination, reporting, training, continuous improvement efforts, and other assigned duties.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and make sound decisions.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take initiative.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
- Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
- Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
