Overview

Northwood Technical College is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a part-time Business Office Associate at the New Richmond Campus.

The Business Office Associate supports the daily financial operations of the campus under the supervision of the Bursar. This role ensures accurate processing of financial transactions, compliance with college policies and procedures, and provides high-quality service to students, staff, and external partners.

  • Process cashiering and departmental payment transactions using PeopleSoft
  • Prepare and reconcile daily deposits
  • Set up and maintain organizational and third-party contract accounts, including billing and student assignments
  • Monitor accounts, run queries, and follow up on past-due balances including issuing collection notices
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and provide guidance on tuition, fees, and payment options
  • Deliver cross-functional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external agencies
  • Participate in system testing, process documentation, and campus/college committees
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Degree & Experience Required:

  • Associate's degree in related field
  • Three years related work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to effectively apply technology to tasks and projects
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment while maintaining positivity and professionalism
  • The ability to interpret policies, apply business processes and deal with information that is sensitive or highly confidential is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills that focus on creative problem solving
  • Time management skills that apply organization and prioritization demonstrating the ability to multitask and work independently
  • Collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude
  • Skilled in interpreting policies, applying business processes, and handling sensitive or highly confidential information
  • Ability to obtain driver's license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy

Preferred:

  • Previous accounting experience


Salary

FY26 Salary - Grade I - $23.79 / hour
