Carley Foundry is seeking an EHS Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety programs in our metal foundry operation. This role is responsible for helping ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements while promoting a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on safety professional who is comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment and partnering with employees, supervisors, and leadership to reduce risk, improve compliance, and support safe foundry operations. What You'll Do
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and programs for foundry operations
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, workers' compensation, and other federal, state, and local requirements
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk assessments
  • Identify and address hazards related to molten metal, heat, dust, silica, fumes, machine guarding, forklifts, cranes, confined spaces, chemical handling, and waste management
  • Lead investigations involving injuries, near misses, spills, and environmental incidents, and track corrective actions
  • Maintain written EHS programs, records, permits, manifests, training documentation, and regulatory reporting
  • Coordinate employee training on safety, environmental procedures, PPE, spill response, and proper waste handling
  • Support industrial hygiene and exposure monitoring for noise, dust, and fumes
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to improve safety and environmental performance
  • Support emergency preparedness, waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives
  • Track and report EHS metrics, trends, and action plans to leadership
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, foundry, metals, heavy industrial, or similar environments preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related environmental and safety regulations
  • Experience with inspections, audits, investigations, and risk assessments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and training skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, OHST, or CHMM are a plus
Work Environment
This position works regularly in a manufacturing and foundry environment with exposure to
heat, dust, noise, and moving equipment. Required PPE must be worn in designated areas. Salary: The anticipated annual salary range is $75,000 to $85,000, based on education, experience, & demonstrated skills.

Hours Per Week: 40-45 hours
