Logistics & Fleet Coordinator

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Logistics & Fleet Coordinator to join our team

A plant-based logistics role responsible for local transportation, trailer staging, yard movement, and fleet coordination for the Jeannette facility. The shift schedule for this opening starts at 7:00AM-4:30PM, with weekend flexibility. This position operates Class A and Class B commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, box trucks, and other assigned equipment for the pickup, delivery, and transfer of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The role also supports fleet inspection, preventative maintenance, compliance, and transportation asset readiness to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate trailer staging, dock positioning, and yard movement activities to support Plant 1 and Plant 2 operations.
  • Operate and maneuver 48-foot to 53-foot trailers within the yard, including backing trailers in and out of docks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform local pickup and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous materials using Class A and Class B commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, box trucks, and other assigned equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment issues requiring maintenance or follow-up.
  • Coordinate fleet inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, registrations, and related compliance requirements for tractors, trailers, and other transportation assets.
  • Maintain accurate DOT and company-required records, including hours of service, inspection logs, maintenance records, manifests, and trip documentation.
  • Monitor fleet readiness, trailer availability, and transportation asset utilization to support efficient plant operations and reduce downtime.
  • Ability to request purchase orders for trailer maintenance and coordinate repairs with our vendors.
  • Communicate transportation status, scheduling conflicts, maintenance issues, and equipment needs to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Support transportation cost tracking, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts related to fleet and yard operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Basic Requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping/receiving, fleet coordination, yard operations, or manufacturing operations.
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements and acceptable driving record required.
  • Experience operating Class A and/or Class B commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, tankers, box trucks, or similar equipment.
  • Experience conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining transportation documentation and logs.
  • Working knowledge of DOT transportation and safety requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced plant environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate large precision shop machinery.
  • Strong aptitude in problem solving and process improvement.
  • Demonstrate the ability to articulate problems and solutions.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and personal initiative related to problem resolution duties with follow-through and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing stressful situations
  • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety
  • Collaborate effectively with team members
  • Demonstrate openness to learning by adapting to new processes, incorporating constructive feedback, and taking initiative to develop skills and expertise
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Navigate Microsoft Office including the use of Microsoft Teams
  • This role is considered safety sensitive.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Experience transporting hazardous materials or working in a regulated waste, recycling, environmental, or industrial services environment.
  • Experience coordinating fleet maintenance, preventative maintenance schedules, and vendor repair activity.


Work Environment:



  • Manufacturing environment where hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toed boots are required.
  • Large facility with approximately 100,000 square feet of ground to cover.
  • Seasonal variation in temperature and weather conditions.
  • Frequent radio communication with operators and managers.
  • Teamwork-centered atmosphere with over 100 employees.
