Where You'll Make a Difference
- Coordinate end-to-end fulfillment, packaging, and shipment of microbiological cultures, ensuring on-time, compliant global deliveries.
- Support and maintain liquid nitrogen storage systems and vapor phase shippers critical to culture preservation and distribution.
- Manage inventory, sample tracking, and logistical planning for long-term, temperature-controlled culture storage.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Act as a key liaison with internal stakeholders, shippers, couriers, customs brokers, and receiving sites to resolve logistical issues.
- Monitor shipments in transit and proactively troubleshoot delivery or customs-related challenges.
- Contribute to the stability and continuity of Culture Collection operations during ongoing and future relocation efforts. This role may require some travel.
- Participate in routine equipment upkeep, calibrations, and preventative maintenance activities.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Associate's degree or equivalent technical, vocational, or trade education.
- At least 3 months of relevant experience; 1+ year preferred in logistics, laboratory operations, or regulated environments.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance requirements in logistics or laboratory settings.
- Comfort working 100% onsite and availability to respond to system alarms during regular and off hours.
- Proficiency with computer systems and databases, including SAP, SharePoint, Office 365 (Excel preferred), and logistics software.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to document, escalate, and resolve issues efficiently.
How You Would Stand Out
- Hands-on experience with liquid nitrogen systems or cold-chain logistics.
- Familiarity with international shipping documentation, customs processes, and biological material transport.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives, database optimization, or operational efficiency projects.
