Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Grants Specialist - Sponsored Programs Administration.

The Grants Specialist position in the Sponsored Programs Administration office is responsible for overseeing the grant application, review, and award process for sponsored programs. Assists and participates in all pre and post-award grant processes; provides support to collect and organize funding opportunities; establishesaccounts: reviews and maintains budgets, records, processes necessary corrections to ensure compliance with NYU Grossman School of Medicine standards, regulations, and guidelines. Works under general direction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains accounts of grant funds and performs grant accounting functions including preparation of journal entries for revenue and expenditure transactions, and preparation of grantee performance reports.
  • Audits, monitors, and schedules reports of grant activities.
  • Processes transaction corrections, reallocations, and other related activities.
  • Provides pre and post-award general support; troubleshoots internal and external grant/contract system implementation.
  • Establishes accounts; allocates award budgets; maintains budgets for programs, including reconciliation and transfers; maintains all official award records.
  • Assists in proposal development; organizes, writes, and coordinates written application in response to requests for proposal, and grant opportunities.
  • Reviews external proposal budgets and certifications; ensures compliance with NYU Grossman School of Medicine and federal policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and assist others in the preparation of proposals and contracts relative to grants, in compliance with regulations and applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Identifies, seek out, applies for, administers, and coordinate the administration of federal, state and local grant awards in accordance to applicable standards, regulations and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree and three years grants administration or other relevant experience. Impeccable attention todetail. Effective oral, written, verbal, organizational and creative problem-solving skills. Autonomous self-starter with the ability to exercise independent judgment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,299.99 - $89,040.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
