Drive financial impact to McLane through rigorous accounting, financial, data, and statistical modeling. Responsible for review and analysis of financial statements to modeling revenue/expense models to auditing commercial contract clauses.

This position will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

What you'll do as a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst:

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of complex financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, collaborating with business units to align financial goals with strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management financial reports and variance analysis for senior leadership.
  • Audit commercial contracts for compliance with financial clauses, such as margin, volume, or inflation measures.
  • Identify and automate related data sources.
  • Design future-state processes that bring efficiency and value to McLane Company
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Learn, utilize, and champion adoption of data & analytic tools such as Alteryx (data analysis), Power BI (data visualization), and Microsoft Fabric across McLane Company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting, economics, finance, or other areas relevant to the role. Masters degree in business or related degree preferred.
  • One or more years of accounting, finance, audit or other business analysis experience.
  • CPA or CPA-in-progress preferred but not required (if accounting background).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong data & analytics skills (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Flowcharting, etc.) or be willing to learn quickly and independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, forecast and meet deadlines.
  • Multiple simultaneous projects and ad-hoc asks.
  • Work both independently and with multiple stakeholders across functions and levels.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
