Software Engineer Lead - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer Lead for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH.

This role is part of the Liquidity Risk Management team, working within an Agile/Scrum environment. The position focuses on creating and leading the technical design and development of software solutions for banking regulatory submissions and applications that handle very large data sets. The ideal candidate will have expert-level database development skills and provide technical guidance to colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Create and lead the technical design and development of software solutions
• Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs
• Prepare technical and procedural documentation
• Facilitate complex problem resolution and provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
• Review coding, testing, and documentation of software
• Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Expert-level, hands-on Oracle database development experience (PL/SQL)
• Experience with performance tuning Oracle queries
• Extensive experience in database design and programming with very large data sets in Oracle
• Knowledge and experience of data modeling and data warehouse concepts
• Prior knowledge of banking applications, preferably regulatory, dealing with large data sets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired skills:

• Experience with other databases like Teradata
• Knowledge and experience with DevOps tools
• ETL (Informatica) experience
• Python and Shell scripting experience
• Oracle certifications (OCP/OCE, Exadata, GoldenGate)

Pay range: $60.70 - $68.70 per hour
