Job Summary

92NY is seeking a Programs Associate to support the coordination and implementation of programs within School Engagement in the Arts, a department dedicated to delivering arts and humanities education to K-12 students and their teachers in public schools across New York City.

School Engagement connects school communities with leading artists, writers, and cultural institutions through multi-week residencies, performances, and workshops designed to introduce students to a wide range of artistic disciplines and creative practices.

As the department continues to serve an increasing number of students and school partners, the Programs Associate will support program coordination, documentation, evaluation processes, and internal planning that contribute to the department's portfolio of programs.

Working closely with the Associate Directors and Program Coordinator, the Programs Associate contributes to the planning and day-to-day coordination of School Engagement initiatives, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of programs across partner schools and program areas.



Job Responsibilities Include

    Support the coordination of School Engagement programs, including school partnerships, residencies, workshops, and collaborations with teaching artists.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining program information and documentation used for planning, coordination, and internal tracking.
  • Support the implementation of program evaluation tools and assist with organizing participation data and feedback.
  • Help maintain program records related to teaching artist participation and program assignments.
  • Assist with preparing materials and documentation used for internal planning and coordination across programs.
  • Support the organization of program resources, shared files, and materials used across the department.
  • Assist with documentation related to program expenses and reporting processes.
  • May be assigned additional related duties as required.


Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum three years of experience working in an arts administration and/or educational setting.
  • Interest in arts and arts education and the role they play in supporting student learning and engagement.
  • Familiarity with a range of art forms, including literature, music, and dance.
  • Knowledge of or experience working with NYC Department of Education schools and systems is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically with educators, artists, and program partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, or similar tools used to organize program information is helpful.
  • Proficiency in common workplace software, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Zoom. Experience with Tessitura or similar systems is a plus.


Work Environment & Requirements

40 hours weekly; 9am - 6pm with a one-hour unpaid meal break

Compensation Range

$50,000 - $57,500

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
