The primary functions of this position are to clean, set up, and assemble filling line equipment; obtain gondolas of filling from coolers; fill depositing hoppers; and stage tortillas, while ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met and maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.

Pay Rate $18.80 per hour + $.50 shift premium

Swing shift

Essential Job Functions:

• Manually scoop filling from gondola into depositing hoppers and maintain specified minimum fill levels as required
• Open tortillas packages, manually riffle, and stage them form the tortilla placers as needed
• Monitor the production process, check line fill, complete quality checks, and make minor repairs or adjustments as required
• Assemble and set up filling line equipment in accordance with the work order, including configuring fillers, conveyors, and freezers as needed.
• Obtain gondolas of filling form the WIP cooler as required
• Report to assigned workstation, obtain tools, check equipment, and verify recipe requirements
• Remove empty gondolas and transport them to the cleaning station as required
• Clean machine parts, wipe spills, close out unused ingredients, and complete batch sheets, and ingredient sheets as required
• Review work schedule, obtain necessary paperwork, and prepare for operations
• At the end of the shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties, and completed all required paperwork.
• Actively participate in the HACCP plan by recording start and finish times for filling on the respective HACCP ticket
• Attend required training session, including quality control, human resources and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely
• Must meet the company standards for the job
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Must be able to understand and follow all written SSOP's
• Must be able to understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
