The Training Specialist supports operational training efforts with a strong focus on engaging employees. This role helps position Wells as an employer of choice within diverse labor markets while ensuring clear communication, safe work practices, and effective onboarding.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Assist with development of comprehensive training programs for new and existing employees on precast manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Deliver these programs during new hire onboarding.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to company safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements, conducting regular safety briefings and audits.
  • Evaluate trainee performance, provide constructive feedback, and document progress to ensure skill development and knowledge retention.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with management to implement best practices that enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate training records and update training materials as needed to reflect changes in procedures or regulations.
  • Lead and manage mentorship program as well as train mentors on coaching and training techniques, Coordinate mentor assignments and track progress

The ideal candidate is a bilingual (English/Spanish) communicator who is passionate about connecting people to opportunities and supporting employee success. They are comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment and can effectively bridge communication gaps between employees and leadership. This individual is personable, adaptable, and committed to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive workplace.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a precast manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety protocols and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train and instruct diverse groups.
  • Previous experience in precast or concrete manufacturing
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Strong computer and presentation skills
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as work boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and hearing protection


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.
  • May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.
