Business Development Strategist

The Business Development Strategist is responsible for strategic territory development for WellSky's emergency department transition solutions. The scope of this job includes conducting market research to qualify opportunities, securing meetings with key stakeholders within the ED to further adoption of our ED transition solution and collaborating with internal stakeholders to transition opportunities from prospecting to closing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage multiple sales channels, including cold calls, email outreach, social media, and networking events, toidentifyand engage potential clients within target markets.
  • Work with account executives with any regional-specific outreach projects (i.e.letters and call campaigns).
  • Conduct market research to source potential clients for emergency department solutions and other areas with similar opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Identify appropriate leadership contacts within new and existing clients that are true decision-making within their respective health system.
  • Design, refine, and deliver effective go-to-market strategies that connect individual client needs with WellSky's value proposition.
  • Coordinate with sales and business development to connect internal stakeholders with decision-makers on qualified opportunities.
  • Own the opportunity lifecycle management process by executing partnership deliverables, monitoring contract expiration dates, and keeping opportunity information updated in Salesforce.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience

Job Expectations:

  • Willing to travel up to 30% based on business needs
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
  • Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
  • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
