Job Summary Machine Operator I is responsible for the set up and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Secures and maintains material and supplies required on the operation. We are looking for the candidate that has some knowledge of the below. Contour Banding Specific: In woodworking and cabinet manufacturing, contour banding refers to edge banding applied to curved, rounded, or irregular-shaped edges, rather than straight edges. This is different from standard edge banding because it requires flexible banding materials and specialized machinery capable of following non-linear patterns. Candidate should have some knowledge with Contour Banding. Reading of blueprints/work orders to determine dimensions, use of small hand tools/routers, cutting knives, glue guns/applicators, tape measure. Power up, LOTO, Proper Glue pellet level, proper operation temperatures, selecting the appropriate banding materials, ability to apply banding to panel, etc. Proficient in computer usage. Training will be provided for detailed job procedures; however basic contour banding knowledge is required. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
