Advanced Practice Provider Cardiac Surgery

Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for a hybrid inpatient and outpatient cardiac surgery opportunity (No OR time). Primarily located at Ahuja and Lake West Medical Centers. The schedule is 4 10 hr. days 7am-5:30 pm and every 4th weekend. APP experience required and cardiac surgery experience strongly preferred.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

• Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self
• Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management
• Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism
• Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
