Security Officer - Entry Control Point

As a Security Officer - Entry Control Point in Christine, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a utilities location, you will manage access control at gates and entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and contractor activity, and document security-related events. You will remain visible while conducting routine patrols around assigned areas, help to deter incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Control access at gates and entry points by checking identification, authorizations, and/or visitor credentials; issue and track temporary badges and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
• Screen inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic as directed, verify scheduled appointments and work orders, and coordinate with site contacts for approvals and escorts when required.
• Monitor cameras, access control panels, alarms, and communications equipment; document unusual activity and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter, and complete shift reports and incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
