Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, stairwells, and/or parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical code assistance requests, and/or alarm activations, and coordinate with site leadership and public responders as directed.
  • Control access by monitoring doors and sensitive areas, verifying authorization, assisting with visitor routing, and/or supporting facility rules for restricted or high-traffic departments.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document security-related incidents and patrol observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are present and/or administered.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to help restrain individuals in accordance with site policies and applicable laws.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
