Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Night Rover in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a professional property management location, completing routine rounds, checking access points, and maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist tenants and visitors, communicate clearly with site contacts, and document observations and incidents with integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and report unauthorized persons, unsecured doors, malfunctioning equipment, and other security-related concerns according to post orders.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner, and communicate relevant updates to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
