Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Midshift in Kissimmee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service. This is a driving post, supporting mobile patrol coverage and quick response across the property. You will document observations and communicate clearly, bringing integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and requesting medical and/or public emergency assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or environmental concerns for follow-up.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor management and/or wayfinding while maintaining professional interactions.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in written reports and logs, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and onsite stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
