Description The Principal Emergency Management Officer supports the Southeast Washington (SEWA) ministries emergency management functions and coordinates activities of the Emergency Management Committee(s). The Principal Emergency Management Officer is responsible for utilizing the Incident Command Structure (ICS) for response to all drills and/or actual events. The Principal Emergency Management Officer is responsible for coordinating emergency preparedness activities for personnel and facilities within the SEWA service area. Key functions are identifying hazards and risks, coordinating exercises and drills, preparing after-action reports, developing and maintaining the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), and providing quarterly or annual reports to include recommendations to the executive team on the state of emergency preparedness and the most pressing needs that require resources. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
