Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt About the Role We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team in Waukesha. In this role, you will provide NC programming support across multiple CNC and plasma systems, while assisting the Manufacturing Engineering Department with tooling development, equipment procurement, continuous improvement projects, and other key initiatives. This position plays a critical role in supporting production efficiency and engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Provide programming support for:
- Plasma cutting machines
- CNC wood routing machines
- CNC machining centers
- Write, revise, and maintain manufacturing procedures
- Research and procure parts, tools, and materials for engineering projects
- Support LEAN initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen activities
- Design simple production tools, jigs, and assembly fixtures
- Assist with new machine introductions and capital expenditure (capex) projects
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience operating or programming CNC equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to stay focused
- Effective at managing multiple priorities
- Resourceful in identifying and obtaining needed information
- Professional, fair, and positive interpersonal approach
Education & Experience Required:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with strong machining process knowledge
Working Environment
- Combination of shop-floor and office settings located on a large manufacturing campus
- Must be able to stand for extended periods as required by shop-floor activities
