DBT-PTSD Specialists of Minnesota, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor / Lead DBT Therapist to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone.

As a Clinical Supervisor / Lead DBT Therapist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will provide individual therapy, facilitate DBT skills groups, provide phone coaching, supervise LGSW clinicians providing DBT, and participate in consultation team meetings.

This position is based onsite in our office located in Plymouth, MN.

Ideal candidates will have formal training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and experience delivering evidence-based treatment to individuals with complex emotional and behavioral needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide treatment for mental health conditions using dialectical behavioral therapy and other evidence-based methods as appropriate
  • Supervise and mentor, providing explanations & guidance to others on the most complex/critical issues
  • Serve as a leader among the clinical team, providing recommendations for improvement and mentoring other clinicians
  • Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social work, or a related counseling field
  • Board approved LICSW Supervisor in Minnesota. License must be active and unrestricted.
  • 2+ years of professional experience providing behavioral health services, post master's degree
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Comprehensive DBT training
  • Trained in one or more additional trauma treatment modalities and/or willing to receive additional training within the first year, if applicable
  • Experience providing direct psychotherapy to individuals and/or groups
  • Experience in outpatient mental health
  • Experience with clinical documentation
  • Experience with diagnostic assessments
  • Experienced with treatment planning and maintaining a caseload
  • Willing to commit to working onsite in Plymouth, MN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DBT Certification
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) experience
  • Experience and/or training in any of the following:
    • EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Anchored Relational Model, Brainspotting, DBT-Prolonged Exposure
  • Experience entering pertinent information in Athena RMS or other Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
