Job Overview
The Value Analysis Program Manager leads the value analysis process across designated clinical categories, ensuring that supply decisions align with patient safety, quality outcomes, and financial stewardship. This role applies clinical expertise, supply chain knowledge, and program management skills to evaluate new products, technologies, and practice variations, while driving standardization and system-wide alignment. Job Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week. On-site Shift: Days. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead value analysis processes for assigned clinical categories, ensuring alignment with organizational vision, patient safety, and fiscal responsibility.
- Facilitate value analysis committees, physician-led workgroups, and cross-functional teams to drive evidence-based product and technology decisions.
- Develop and maintain program frameworks, standards, and measurement systems to monitor performance and outcomes.
- Partner with physicians, clinicians, executives, and supply chain to evaluate product requests, new technologies, and practice variation.
- Apply clinical evidence, benchmarking, and market intelligence to guide standardization and optimize product selection.
- Lead planning and execution of product conversions, trials, and rollouts while ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Manage product backorders, supply disruptions, and quality issues in collaboration with clinicians, sourcing, and suppliers to ensure continuity of patient care and minimize operational impact.
- Conduct financial modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and evaluation of reimbursement implications.
- Identify and execute cost reduction, cost avoidance, and efficiency opportunities using GPO contracts and supplier partnerships.
- Monitor spend and savings performance to ensure achievement of financial goals.
- Drive adoption of initiatives by engaging clinicians and staff, removing barriers, and monitoring compliance.
- Recommend opportunities for operational improvement, patient safety enhancement, and clinical innovation and stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degrees
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of related healthcare experience in a large complex hospital or healthcare system
- Equivalency
- Four (4) years of experience, beyond stated requirements, may substitute for the Bachelor's degree
Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $88,253.00 to $132,379.50
