Summary:

The Rehabilitation Services Department at the Center for Rehabilitation Care is accepting applications for an Outpatient Full-Time Physical Therapist. This position involves delivering therapy services across various diagnoses, including long covid, stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord, Parkinson's disease, muscular dystrophy, EDS, multiple sclerosis, and more. Candidates should possess strong time management, self-initiation, communication, and organizational skills. Preferably, candidates will have clinical experience in an outpatient setting and working within interdisciplinary clinics as well as complex diagnosis.

Preferred qualifications: Outpatient or inpatient Rehab experience. Experience with interdisciplinary clinics is highly preferred. This position will include Saturday coverage.

Responsibilities:

  1. Selects and performs appropriate Physical Therapy (PT) evaluation procedures to identify and assess problems. Sets treatment goals and devises a treatment plan. Re-evaluates and adjusts the PT treatment plan in response to the patient's changing condition and discharge plans.
  2. Manages resources needed to perform PT treatment plan to accomplish goals set for the patient.
  3. Completes PT documentation in the medical record per department guidelines and completes department records for billing and statistics.
  4. Manages PT caseload with efficiency and efficacy.
  5. Provides clinical supervision and teaching for PT students or staff. Plans orientation, caseload, and other learning activities. Provides regular feedback and coaching. Evaluates the learner's performance.
  6. Plans and coordinates clinical programs in response to patient needs, technologies, clinical practices, regulations and reimbursement. Provides regular communication with physicians, supervisor, and others regarding PT programs and patients served.

Education Requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
* BLS within 3 months of hire date.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* No prior experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills; requires physical stamina and repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, and squatting during patient interventions while supporting one's weight; can engage in high-level problem-solving to ensure patient safety during mobilization.
