* Base Pay Range: $52,665.60 - $83,179.20 per year, based on experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Oversee the work of financial counselor compliance with any federal consumerism and price transparency mandates including, but not limited to patient estimates, screening for state and federal qualifying programs, and MU Health Financial Assistance.

Represent the department through internal multi-discipline committees and teams such as Care Coordination, physician and physician offices, applicable vendors, and the State of Missouri Family Support Division.

Oversee and coordinate the Show Me Healthy Women program for MU Health and any specific grants or programs offered by the State of Missouri for specific qualifying populations.

Conduct employee performance management, including goals, delegating, feedback, and performance reviews. Provide ongoing guidance to employees through coaching and counseling. Develop training plans and ensure employees have the necessary expertise and training to function effectively.

Assist, escalate, and review with the Manager of Financial Counseling and Care Coordination patients who are uninsured or underinsured with discharge care needs.

Prioritize and reassign workload based on business goals and distribute tasks to team members as necessary to align with department key performance indicators.

Collaborate with other revenue cycle departments to ensure optimal revenue cycle performance, including reducing in accounts receivable, improving collections, and patient financial experience.

Review and track pending Medicaid application progress and identify accounts that are stalled or not progressing as expected to facilitate timely approval and payment.

May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business, social science, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Three (3) years of experience in healthcare, revenue cycle, supervision, financial counseling, or related state or federal expertise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
