Location: Colorado Springs, CO (United States Air Force Academy)
Type: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift. On-call work may also be required based on operational needs.
Compensation: $33.00 - $37.00/hourly dependent on experience

Tessera is seeking a highly organized and mission-focused Administrative Assistant to support senior leadership on the Base Maintenance Contract (BMC) at the U.S. Air Force Academy. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing administrative workflows, coordinating communications, and operating with professionalism in a regulated, fast-paced environment. The Administrative Assistant serves as a central hub for information flow, task coordination, and deliverable tracking, exercising strong judgment and strict confidentiality while handling sensitive personnel, contract, and operational data. This position plays a trusted, integral role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and effective execution of contract requirements.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
* Provides comprehensive administrative support to senior leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and communication flow.
* Coordinates meetings and engagements with military customers, internal leaders, subcontractors, and installation partners.
* Prepares agendas, read-aheads, briefing materials, reports, and presentations related to operations and contract performance.
* Manages internal workflows by tracking taskers, approvals, action items, suspense dates, and deliverables.
* Ensures proper routing, version control, accuracy, and filing of documents in both electronic and physical systems.
* Maintains workflow trackers and dashboards to give leadership visibility into priorities, progress, and upcoming deadlines.
* Drafts and formats professional correspondence and maintains communication standards consistent with a military environment.
* Supports contract documentation tracking, audit readiness, and coordination with safety, quality, and compliance teams.
* Assists with onboarding, access requests, travel coordination, site visits, and administrative financial tracking as directed.
* Handles sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information with sound judgment, discretion, and adherence to need-to-know requirements.
* All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
* Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
* 3-5 years of administrative assistant experience, preferably in facilities maintenance or federal contracting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Microsoft Windows; etc.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
* May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
* Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
* Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

* A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
