***Seeking a current Bryan College of Health Sciences undergraduate nursing student who has successfully completed the Foundations course. Student would be responsible for working collaboratively and independently to set up and tear down the nursing skills lab for different classes. Student workers are also responsible for completing inventory and cleaning supplies and mannequins. Work hours are flexible to work with a student's schedule. *** General Summery: The Student Assistant assists trained personnel in an effort to facilitate acquisition of technical skills and perform/practice beginning level skills in the student's area of instruction. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. 2. *Carries out assigned duties as prescribed by supervising faculty and/or staff. (See addendum for specific job assignment.) 3. Performs assigned work tasks under the direction supervision of instructional staff. 4. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned. (Essential Job functions are marked with an asterisk "*". Refer to the Job Description Guide for the definition of essential and non-essential job functions.) Attach Addendum for positions with slightly different roles or work-specific differences as needed. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. 2. Knowledge of the concepts and procedures related to the area of assignment/instruction. 3. Skill in the operation of communication and information devices required for the assigned duties (e.g., computers, pagers, phones). 4. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals and groups. 5. Ability to organize and carry out assigned work tasks. 6. Ability to deal effectively with stressful circumstances. 7. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information. 8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel, medical staff, volunteer and ancillary departments including diverse patient populations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must be a student currently enrolled in a course of study at Bryan College of Health Sciences, who has completed semester three (3) nursing courses. | |
