Acara Solution is seeking a Senior Advanced Engineering Technician for our client, located in Annapolis Junction, MD.
- The Senior Advanced Engineering Technician will act as a leader and mentor in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking out, modifying, fabricating, and assembling prototype electro-optic systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.
- Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics, and understands the necessary interfaces.
- Performs complex system-level troubleshooting to component level.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
- Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate Degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fiber-optic communications systems.

- Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions.
- Distinct knowledge of specialized function and proficiency in application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards, and practices.
