Overview
As a founding member of the Firm's AI function, the Practice Support AI Analyst role will play a critical role in the support, adoption, and deployment of Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., Harvey) across practice groups. This role requires technical aptitude, curiosity, and a passion for transforming and innovating workflows using AI technology. The Practice Support AI Analyst will provide user support, assist with AI optimization, and help the Firm create innovative AI-powered solutions.
Responsibilities
Internal Tracking and Reporting
Track and report on AI system usage across the Firm, including but not limited to office usage, practice group usage, and features used. Create and provide AI usage reports and performance metrics to various stakeholders.
- Assist with analyses that help the Firm understand trends regarding feature utilization, ROI, and additional opportunities to leverage AI tool(s) at the Firm.
- Develop a system for and track AI training compliance.
- Support the Office of General Counsel to ensure client-matter numbers used for AI programs are current and accurate.
AI Initiative & End User Support
- Assist Knowledge Management attorneys and Professional Support Lawyers globally in using Harvey and other AI tools to support KM initiatives within each practice.
- Assist with importing documents to Harvey and maintaining Harvey vaults. Catalogue document-uploads and have a keen understanding of compliance with record-keeping, privacy, and security requirements.
- Partner with the IT Team to develop standard operating procedures and guidelines for attorney-developed workflows and other relevant training materials. Provide introductory training on an ad hoc basis regarding Harvey key functionality.
- Assist in piloting and evaluating AI systems and AI prompts to enhance attorney productivity.
- Support the creation and maintenance of an internal AI portal page that communicates AI tools available to attorneys, instruct on how to access and use them, and highlight ways they are currently being used. Support the Communications team with internal and external communications related to the Firm's AI developments.
- Function as initial support contact for attorneys using AI applications, including capturing feedback, troubleshooting issues, and documenting user experiences.
- Catalogue and proactively investigate known AI system issues and limitations and work with AI providers to ensure the Firm's experience reflects expectations.
Feedback Collection and Future AI Enhancement
- Track AI systems' features that are in the pipeline and have been communicated to the Firm by vendors, including monitoring releases and helping to ensure information on new features have been internally evaluated and communicated to attorneys.
- Catalogue who is using AI platforms and for what use. Gather and communicate feedback from attorneys on usefulness of AI tools as well as enhanced feature requests.
- Support data collection regarding AI initiatives, including identifying gaps and resolving missing or inconsistent information,
- Assist with the development of follow-up workflows and additional AI automation where possible.
- Other responsibilities as they are assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of professional experience.
- Strong Excel skills. Ability to use advanced Excel functionality, including XLookup, Pivot Tables, and functions (e.g., SORT, SEQUENCE, dynamic arrays).
- Strong data analysis skills. Knowledge of PowerBI, PowerQuery, or similar dashboarding/visualization software (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT and similar tools.
- Experience generating AI prompts on ChatGPT or similar AI platforms.
- Harvey-specific experience not required but is a plus.
EDUCATION
- 4-year college degree. Computer science or math preferred.
Compensation - The anticipated base salary range offered for this role will be between $65,000 to $80,000 and represents the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base compensation range. Actual base compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, as well as the needs of the firm.
