Position Summary:

The Advanced Analytics Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the organization's data science capabilities. They will manage the analytic workforce across the department and allocate staff and skill sets to meet project objectives and drive solutions. They provide technical guidance and solutions to support data analytics and manages project deliverables and timelines. They will manage initiatives to find new and innovative ways to create value for our employees and business partners and are responsible for the development, implementation and execution of new programs.

What you will do:

  • Monitor current trends in data science and analytic sourcing, and maintain an awareness of competitive threats.

  • Recruit, develop and supervise analytic staff.

  • Facilitates the identification and selection of analytic solutions.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to understand the various business opportunities and use cases.

  • Performs problem formulation, and project planning and resource allocation for the various business use cases.

  • Presents and communicates results back to the business to enable better decision making.

  • Provides support through the implementation of the new insights to ensure they are meeting the needs of the business and creating the expected value.

  • Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology and other business needs within the department and proactively designs and implements solutions to address those demands.

  • Evangelizes best practices to analytics teams throughout the business.

  • Oversee the data/report requests process of tracking requests, prioritization, approval, etc.

  • Ensure that proposed analytic and data science solutions are technically viable.

  • Manage and optimize processes for project intake, validation, allocation of work and project disposition and project deliverables.

  • Manage team budget; establish and own the technical roadmap and analyze trade-offs between usability, security, and performance needs.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

When you will work:

  • Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

  • Hybrid schedule, 4 days in office in Wyoming, MI or Atlanta, GA, with 1 day remote

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related field required.

  • Masters Degree preferred.

  • Eight years previous information technology experience with two years previous supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.

  • Experience with data mining, data science, or business analytics, within a large organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts.

  • Ability to collaborate with various users to ensure the solution is helping to meet their needs and drive business value.

  • Familiarity with cloud big data environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred).

  • Experience building, identifying & measuring success criteria.

  • High degree of analytical and problem-solving ability needed to collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists and other analytic staff.

  • Considerable experience in solving business problems with advanced analytical solutions.
