HRIS Specialist - San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance

San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is an international, nonprofit conservation organization with two front doors: the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We integrate wildlife health and care, science, and education to develop sustainable conservation solutions.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Specialist is the expert in HRIS and is responsible for the evaluation and maintenance of Human Resources technology. This position reports to the Senior HRIS Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Consult with HR managers and other departments to determine HRIS needs.
• Perform extensive testing on new releases and any system updates.
• Leads training sessions to include real-time demonstrations and job guides.
• Monitor and audit HRIS performance and identify processes that need improvement.
• Updates HRIS administrative reference materials as needed.
• Keep track of technological advancements and trends in the field of HRIS.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
JOB EXPERIENCE

• 1 - 2 years HRIS experience
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
  

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or two or more years of experience in a related area
• California driver license.
  

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to collaborate and provide technical support.
• Be organized and pay close attention to details.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a highly organized work product and manage time sensitive projects.

The posted salary range represents the full compensation potential for this role over time. Initial hiring offers are typically made within the lower to mid portion of the range and are based on a combination of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and organizational considerations. Placement near the top of the range is generally reserved for individuals who demonstrate sustained performance, growth, and expanded responsibilities in the role over time.
