We are seeking a Clinic/Practice Assistant Lead to join our Primary Care office in Rowley. This position is onsite Monday through Friday, working 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
The Clinic/Practice Assistant Lead will serve as a key operational partner and leader within our Primary Care office. This individual will oversee and support a team of 13 front desk staff through indirect leadership, helping to build a cohesive, collaborative team while maintaining high standards of work and smooth daily operations. The Lead will partner closely with leadership and clinical staff to improve workflows, ensure consistent coverage and cross-training, manage scheduling and timecard oversight, and lead team meetings, huddles, and staff development initiatives. This role requires a proactive leader and change agent with strong collaboration skills and ideally 3+ years of leadership experience.
Oversees day to day operation of an outpatient clinic or practice. May assist by assigning and prioritizing workflow, troubleshooting issues, training and orientation, providing back up support for a Supervisor or Manager. Provides guidance and help to others to resolve complex issues and problems.

Essential Functions
-Performs assigning and prioritizing workflow, troubleshooting issues, training and orientation, providing back up support for leadership.
-Acts as "Super User" for scheduling, registration and billing systems.
-Provides assistance and training to others in these areas.
-May perform more complex or specialized functions (i.e. surgical scheduling, schedule changes/blocking) at more advanced competency level.
-May function as a backup for clerical staff to perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office, and make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
-May process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR.
-Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results.
-Open and distribute unit mail or faxes.
-Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc., as directed.
-Provides functional guidance to related team.
-Assists Supervisor with daily activities of practice staff.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?

Licenses and Credentials
Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] preferred

Experience
office experience 5-7 years required

- Excellent time management skills.
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
