Quality Assurance Consultant

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Tester - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will support a Generative AI platform for Global Markets. The QA Tester will be responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes, ensuring the testing strategy and processes are well-defined and continuously improved. The platform is built on a complex infrastructure landscape including cloud services, on-premises GPU compute, no-SQL databases, vector databases, microservices, and user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product owner, scrum master, development, system and release management teams to certify and promote code to higher level environments
• Own test execution, Defect management, Test progress reporting and escalation of issues and risks
• Condition and generate test data in compliance with test data requirements and manage sensitive test data
• Demo functionality to UAT testers, user community and external stakeholders
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data scientists, and product managers, to understand project requirements and align testing efforts
• Ensure testing activities adhere to industry standards and company policies for data security and privacy

Requirements:

• 7-10 years in similar roles, preferably in the financial industry
• Higher education in IT field or relevant previous work experience
• Experience with agile development methodologies, Jira and DevOps practices
• Experience in test planning for one or more applications that span across multiple stakeholders
• Strong experience in developing and executing testing strategies for complex applications
• Proficiency in test case design, test execution, and test management tools
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or PyTest
• Understanding and experience in data testing/validation
• Advanced skills in testing applications developed in Python, SQL/No-SQL databases and user interfaces
• Knowledge of data versioning and data management practices
• Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audience (business stakeholders, developer & support teams)
• Detail oriented & highly organized
• Adaptable to shifting & competing priorities
• Problem solving skills to diagnose & resolve complex issues
• Coordination skills and experience collaborating with onshore/offshore teams

Desired skills:

• Experience with testing frameworks and tools specific to AI/ML applications
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and testing in cloud environments
